Shtayim Anthology

I had to privilege to be working alongside a very talented group of artists on this special book. I created a series of illustrations depicting a nightmare, which included my favorite subject, monsters.

Based On a Real City Anthology

My first collaborative project with this group of talented artists, illustrators and designers. the subject of the anthology was the city of Tel Aviv. My subject was the outdoors "‘Shuk’, the marketplace, which I frequented both as a child and adult. I love the smells (good and bad), the noisiness, the pushing, the interesting characters and the amazing food.

Loralis

A book dedicated to my love for old flora and Fauna illustrations. It depicts an imaginary land and a detailed description of it’s animals and plants, like an explorer’s journal.

I Don't Know Where It's Going

In this book are a few fiction stories based on my New York experiences. Conversations I overheard, people I met and things I’ve seen. I experimented with mixed media, stamps, scratchboards and other techniques that were new to me. I case bound the book myself and created a dust jacket for it.

Churches Diary

In this book I combined a few of my biggest loves; the love for books and bookmaking, the love of drawing on location and my love for stories.

This is the first book I bound myself, and I experimented with a French fold binding, using a very thin paper. I have always been fascinated by churches, the size, ambiance and beautiful art and architecture. I never sat in a church before this project, nor have I been to many since I grew up in Israel and consider myself culturally Jewish. In the different churches I visited, I immediately noticed the human element, either by visiting during a service, individuals praying or the homeless people seeking shelter.

I intend on continuing my drawing journey in NYC with my drawing pad and my trusted ink brush.
